Questions teachers actually ask

The data and GDPR ones have their own page.

I'm moving to a new laptop β€” how does my class come with me?

In the app: πŸ’Ύ β†’ Export everything. That one file is your backup and your removal van β€” copy it to the new machine, open Sage Stage there, πŸ’Ύ β†’ Import backup. Decks, screens, class lists, the lot. Use one machine at a time.

Can I put one screen on the projector while I work on another?

Yes β€” open the deck sidebar (the numbered pill at the bottom), open a screen's menu and choose Open in new tab. On the desktop app that's a second window you can drag to the projector; both stay in step.

How do I print what's on the board?

Widgets with something worth paper have Print… in the More options menu on their frame β€” one A4 sheet, or a poster over several sheets with cutting guides. Whole screens export from the deck sidebar as PNG, PDF or PowerPoint.

I closed a widget with work in it. Gone?

No. Open πŸ’Ύ β€” anything with writing or pictures waits in Recently closed for 30 days, and automatic snapshots sit underneath for the deeper rescue. Closing never throws work away silently.

The board's touch doesn't hover β€” how do I see what a tool does?

Tap the ? and choose What's this? β€” then tap anything. A note appears saying what it does, and nothing you tap actually activates while the mode is on. Esc or Done finishes.

Does it need the internet?

No. The app and your data are entirely on your machine. The internet is used only for things you add that live on the web β€” a YouTube clip, a wallpaper photo, an embedded page β€” and this guide.

Something looks wrong or stuck.

Reload (or quit and reopen). The app saves within a second of every change, so a reload almost never loses work. If a widget misbehaves after that, close it and put it back from πŸ’Ύ β†’ Recently closed.
